October
A falling leaf hits the ground.
Children laughing all around.
Breathing in the crisp fall air.
I see Jack-o-laterns- what a scare!
Jumping into an auburn leafpile,
their bright colors make me smile.
Trees slowly shedding their leaves,
losing their multicolored sleeves.
I love to sit and watch the seasons,
the sun, the leaves, both good reasons.
Winter is coming, fast approaching.
On the snows it is encroaching.
The leaves will be buried then.
But next year fall will come again.

Holy wow. Who knew you were such a poet??
Oh, I did, actually...
You're both winners in my eyes, and each of you should enter these poems in contests.
Or bring me chocolate. Whichever you prefer.
